The National Lutheran Choir

Based in Minneapolis–St. Paul and led by Artistic Director Dr. Jennaya Robison, the National Lutheran Choir celebrates, invigorates, and expands sacred choral music for people of diverse faiths and backgrounds. Now in its 40th season, the 70-voice ensemble has been honored with Chorus America’s Margaret Hillis Award for Artistic Excellence, the Dale Warland Singers Commissioning Award, and the Wittenberg Award for contributions to sacred art. NLC’s 36-album discography spans hymns, spirituals, and major contemporary works, and its national presence includes broadcasts such as New Day: A Choral Anthem for a New Era on MPR. The choir has collaborated with Cantus, Minnesota Boychoir, Angelica Cantanti, and numerous collegiate and community ensembles. Upcoming highlights include the 2027 presentation of Bach’s St. Matthew Passion with the Minnesota Bach Society. Through live concerts, tours, and digital media, NLC continues to unite artistry and faith, bringing sacred choral music to audiences nationwide.
