Andrew Hansen

Andrew Hansen brings 15 years of nonprofit experience to his role as Executive Director of Pacific Youth Choir, one of the West Coast's premier youth choral programs. He gets it—the hustle of managing fundraising without a dedicated development team, the pressure of starting from scratch every campaign, and the real cost of burnout when systems don't exist to support the work. 

In his first year at PYC, Andrew grew individual and corporate contributions by 76% while leading the organization through a founder transition. That growth came from building sustainable infrastructure: a CRM, the organization's first gala, an annual content calendar, and campaigns designed to be repeatable rather than reinvented every cycle. Today, PYC serves 200 K-12 singers across 48 zip codes, with over 50% receiving tuition assistance. 

Before PYC, Andrew was a Senior Account Strategist at CauseMic, where he guided nonprofits through strategic planning, fundraising, and marketing initiatives. He's helped organizations figure out what actually works for them—and learned plenty about what doesn't. 

Andrew shares his passion for leadership and communication as an adjunct instructor at University of Portland's Pamplin School of Business. He holds a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communication from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Portland. 

He's still figuring it out too—just with better systems now.
