Chair Yoga & Tools for Well-Being

This early Saturday morning session will begin with an offering of yoga-based tools for well-being, including mindfulness, breathing, and physical asana (poses). Nicole Navratil will share how these practices can be implemented in a variety of contexts, including within rehearsals, before performances, and during meetings. Some examples include the "Two-Minute Body Scan" and the "Reconnect Breath."

The second part of the session is for you. Bring your curiosity and leave your mat at home. Nicole will guide you through an accessible and balanced chair yoga class that will include standing and seated asana (poses), guided breathing, and meditation. Dress comfortably and bring a water bottle. This will be a laid-back, collaborative class, and you are invited to go within, ask questions, and share insights. Come learn a few new ways to support both yourself as a leader, as well as the groups that you serve. Open to anyone (including beginners!) interested in what yoga and meditation have to offer the choral community.
